Rheem Heat Pump

Rheem offers two advanced heat pumps: the Rheem HDi-310 Heat Pump and the Rheem MPi-325 Series II Heat Pump.

Heat pumps represent the latest in water heating technology. Although electric, they do not use electricity to heat the water directly. Instead, they utilise a refrigerant to extract warmth from the air, which heats the water. Often described as a refrigerator in reverse, heat pumps are among the most cost-effective hot water systems to run, apart from solar.

The HDi-310 Heat Pump heats water from the top down, concentrating hot water at the top of the tank for rapid reheating. This design minimises wait time for hot water, as the entire tank does not need to be reheated. It features frost protection and a backup element for freezing winter nights.

The Rheem MPi-325 Series II Heat Pump employs whisper technology for quiet operation and multi-pass heating for efficient water heating.

Rheem Gas Hot Water System

Rheem gas hot water systems are available in two main categories: gas storage and gas continuous flow. Rheem gas storage systems are designed to cater to both large families and smaller households, offering excellent hot water recovery. Even if all stored hot water is used, it can be reheated and ready within an hour.

With 4 and 5-star energy-rated models, you can choose a more efficient option if energy conservation is a priority. The main advantage of gas storage systems is the ability to maintain mains pressure to multiple taps, ensuring no drop-off in hot water when multiple fixtures are in use.

Rheem gas continuous flow systems heat water on demand, providing an endless supply of hot water. These systems are available with preset temperatures of 50°C or 60°C. For households with high hot water demand, larger systems can heat up to 27 litres per minute, and two units can be linked for a total of 54 litres per minute.

Rheem Solar Hot Water System

Rheem offers an extensive range of solar hot water systems with 15 different models, categorised as Loline or Hiline. Rheem Loline systems are split systems with solar panels on the roof and a storage tank on the ground. In contrast, Rheem Hiline systems are close-coupled, with the tank and panels together on the roof.

Solar hot water systems are the most cost-effective way to heat water, utilising free solar energy. On heavily overcast days, Rheem solar systems come equipped with either electric or gas boosters. Gas boosters are continuous flow, heating water only as needed, making them the most environmentally friendly option.

Rheem also offers models designed for frost-prone regions, ensuring you can enjoy the benefits of solar hot water even in colder parts of Australia. Some models have limited frost tolerance, while others are fully frost-protected.

Rheem electric storage systems remain a much-valued option for new installations. Its tanks are highly durable, with most models featuring a 12-year warranty. For high-demand households, twin-element models provide rapid heating, ensuring minimal waiting time for hot water. There are also models suitable for indoor installation.
